Common questions

Is there a minimum number of hours?

Most visits are scheduled in blocks of a few hours so caregivers have time to do things well. We'll discuss the right schedule during your consultation.

How is home care paid for?

Most families pay privately, and long-term care insurance policies often cover non-medical home care. Medicare generally does not cover ongoing non-medical care. Ask us about the paperwork your policy requires.

Can caregivers give medications?

Caregivers can provide medication reminders. Administering medications, injections, or wound care requires licensed nursing staff, which we coordinate through home health agencies or your physician.

What if we don't click with the caregiver?

Tell us. The relationship matters, and we'll arrange a different caregiver as quickly as we can.
