24-hour & live-in
When someone shouldn't be alone, continuous care lets them stay at home with someone always nearby.
24-hour shift care
Caregivers work rotating shifts, so someone is always awake and alert. Best for clients who need help through the night, are at high fall risk, or need frequent repositioning.
Live-in care
One caregiver stays in the home for extended periods, with a private sleeping space and scheduled breaks. Best for clients who mostly sleep through the night.
Choosing between them
The right choice depends on how often help is needed overnight. Live-in arrangements require that the caregiver gets adequate uninterrupted sleep and breaks. If nights are frequently disrupted, 24-hour shift care is safer for everyone.
We'll recommend a model during your consultation, explain the scheduling and staffing in writing, and revisit it as needs change.
Questions
Will it be the same caregivers every week?
We build a small, consistent team so your loved one sees familiar faces, with backup caregivers introduced ahead of time for days off.
What does a live-in caregiver need from the household?
A private sleeping space, access to a bathroom and kitchen, and the agreed breaks. We'll go over the details before care begins.
